How To Check your Dog Health " Basic Health "
Today we're going to show you how to give a general check over of your animal .
We don't expect that everyone's going to be a vet or a vet nurse but it's a really good way of being able to check that your animals fit in well.
The first thing to do is just genuinely check him over:
While checking your dog you must look at :
Animal vital Signs :
Coat : is it nice and glossy or is it dry???
Eyes : are they nice and bright ???, Is there any discharge in them at the corners of his eyes ???
Nose : it's a really good indication of how well he is, In healthy dogs it is wet and there is no discharge coming from the nose.
Teeth : You can lift his lip and have a good look at the teeth , In a healthy dog it is shiny clean and do not need any dental work .
Ears : You must lift them back, so it could be looked carefully .
Other helpful checking tips for your animal health :
Look on the inside too so things that would be abnormal would be lots of discharge or if this skin was kind of red and a sword irritated ...
Legs : go down each leg so you can feel with your hand over each leg and your feeling for any abnormal swelling or any bits or sword if he was uncomfortable he'd let you know by lifting his leg up or by looking around at that area.
You can also look at his feet so one by one you can lift up his toes and have a good look... You must look for any sort of problems where there's a little bit of dirt or a little bit of material in between his feet that might call irritation...
It's also important to check the back end of your dog which isn't so lovely but we can do that by lifting the tail and having a good look round .
You're looking for it to be nice and clean and it for again don't be no redness or any areas of swelling and haze looks absolutely perfect and you don't need to get too personal with them .
Tummy Checking also is so important :
Last but not least you're gonna have a good look over their tummy now their tummy is should be nice and relaxed it shouldn't be kind of tense or sore, tender and it also should have normal coloring to the skin .
