In case of sudden injuries or accidents make sure you follow these safety tips for the health of your dog or cat .
What should i do at Home for treating Fever ?
1- Wrap the animal in a thick towel or blanket to make it warm and reassure it.
Do not move it too much if there is a suspicion that there are fractures, and seek help from other aids if possible.
2- Putting a bandage (or sterile gauze or even a clean tissue) to stop bleeding from a cut, injury or a bite from insects or animals.
3- Put ice packs on the burn and not keep them away from the place of the burn until help from the veterinarian arrives.
Helpful Notes :
4- Do not induce the animal to vomit if it is suspected that it has ingested a poisonous substance.
5- Do not try to remove anything from the mouth in case of spitting, drooling, difficulty in swallowing, or digging with claws as evidence of stumbling.
6- When exposed to heat strokes, you should remove the animal from the heat source and take it to a cool place with cold water massage. Be careful that the animal drinks small amounts of water.
Home treating frostbite :
7- If your pet is suffering from frostbite, put him in a warm room immediately, with a towel dampened with warm water over the frozen places until the blood circulates in them again. In severe cases, we find that the first organs to be damaged are the claws and the tips of the ears, and in this case, urgent veterinarian help is needed.
8- Make sure that the head is at the same level as the body so that it is not raised or lowered in all cases.
9- Knowing medical veterinary aid locations or their phone numbers.
10- Avoid touching skin diseases with bare hands , some fungal infections might cause infections in humans especially weak ones .
